VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Andrea Nelson the Executive Director of the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation will be stepping down from her position after accepting another position.
Nelson said after careful consideration, I submitted my resignation to the Board of Directors. My final day with the Foundation will be Friday, March 29th. Beginning April 1st my new adventure of serving as the Community Engagement Director for the Children’s Advocacy Centers of North Dakota.
She said change can be hard, but it brings great opportunity and growth, and I am excited for the future of the Foundation and for me as well.
Nelson said, “I want to assure you that the SVCF Board remains committed to building philanthropy and investing in the communities we serve. During the transition, SVCF board members will be communicating the organizations plans to ensure operations run smoothly and plans they are making for the future in light of my resignation.”
Nelson said, “I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support, collaboration, and impact that we have collectively been able to make in the community over my tenure with the Foundation. It has been an honor working alongside so many dedicated community members, donors, and mentors and I am proud to leave my position knowing I was able to make a lasting impact.”
