COLUMBUS, GA – Junior Jada Shorter of the University of Jamestown finished second in 1-meter diving in the NAIA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, which concluded Saturday at the Columbus Aquatics Center.
Shorter, who won the KCAC Championships in 1-meter and 3-meter diving last month, finished with 192.25 in the 1-meter competition, finishing behind Ashley McNamara of Aquinas (MI). Shorter scratched in the preliminaries of the 3-meter competition.
UJ’s Sulinke Van Den Berg was 23rd in the preliminaries of the 200-yard IM and the 100-yard butterfly and 17th in the preliminaries of the 200-yard backstroke.
The Jimmies’ Cerys Williams was 21st in the preliminaries of the 100-yard butterfly, 33rd in the prelims of the 100-yard breaststroke and 18th in the preliminaries of the 200-yard butterfly.
