Jamestown, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—-The LaMoure Litchville-Marion (LLM) Loboes defeated the Ellendale Cardinals 44-42 and the Sargent County (SC) Bulldogs defeated Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier (EKM) Rebels 65-64 to reach the title game on Thursday night. Ellendale will play EKM at 6:00 P.M. in the third place game.

Max Musland had a game high 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists to help pace the Loboes past the Cardinals.  Ellendale defeated LLM 61-44 in the regular season on January 18th in Ellendale 61-44. Musland  scored 31 points in the opening round win over Hankinson, was  drawing plenty of attention from the Cardinals defense and was held to 7 first half points. Gunner Thielges added 9 points and 7 rebounds for the Loboes and Brayan Karlgaard added 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocked shots. Blase Isaacson added 7 points and 2 steals. Ellendale was paced by Jack Bommersbach with 16 points. Mason Molan added 13 points and 5 rebounds. Kade Schimke added 6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Anton Geller added 2 points but had a team high 8 rebounds and added a game high 3 assists. LLM improved to 15-9 overall and Ellendale dropped to 15-9.

RV Sargent County Bulldogs  65       #5 EKM Rebels  64

The Bulldogs and Rebels went back and forth all night in an entertaining contest that ended 65-64 in favor of the Bulldogs. EKM defeated SC 18 days earlier in Edgeley 71-58.  EKM would lead 19-16 after the opening quarter and 36-32 at halftime. SC would outscore the Rebels 17-7 in the third quarter to take 49-43 lead into the fourth quarter. Josh Wittich scored a game 24 points and added a game high 12 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs. Kolton Kadoun added 14 points, 5 rebounds, and a game high 6 assists to aid the SC win. Luke Martinson also had 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Grady Wehlander added 10 points and 3 rebounds. The Rebels were led by Zeke Barnick with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Austin Strobel finished with 14 points (13 in the final quarter) and 6 rebounds. Jacob Nitschke and Brad Kinzler both had 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Rebels dropped to 20-4 overall and SC improved to 18-6.
