Jamestown, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Girls Class B State Basketball Tournament continues from the Jamestown Civic Center on March 1st.

All games all tournament long can be heard on KDDR The Tornado and 98.3 Thunder Country.

Semifinal: #6 Edgeley-Kulm-Montpellier 53-36 #2 Bowman County

Mataeya Mathern scored 19 points and hauled in 12 boards as the Edgeley-Kulm-Montpellier Rebels advanced to the co-ops first ever Class B State Championship Game with a 53-36 win over Bowman County on Friday at the Jamestown Civic Center.

After leading 22-9 after one, the Rebels did not make a field goal in the second quarter and led only 26-23 at the break, but pulled away with an 18-8 third quarter.

Sophia Headley and Jaci Fischer had 12 each for the Bulldogs, who advance to the third place game against Sargent County on Saturday evening.

Semifinal: #4 Sargent County 35-62 #1 May-Port CG

The May-Port CG Patriots have been the state’s top-ranked Class B team all season, and now they’ll have a chance to win the state championship after rolling over Sargent County 62-35 in the second semifinal in Jamestown.

Rylee Satrom led all scorers with 15, Danica Hanson and Reagan Zerface added 10 each, and the Patriots pitched a second quarter shutout in the win.

Sargent County got 8 each from Amber Kjar and Karleigh Kadoun and will face Bowman County for third

Consolation Semifinal: #7 Maple River 43-66 #3 Central McLean

Adlyn Eng had 24, Morgan Snyder added 20 and the Central McLean Cougars got the better of the Maple River Raiders 66-43 on Friday night.  The Cougars scored 43 points off 37 Raider turnovers in the win and will face Our Redeemer’s in the Consolation Final on Saturday

Eighth-grader Violet Richman scored 13 to lead the Raiders, who face Kenmare-Bowbells for 7th place on Saturday

Consolation Semifinal: #8 Kenmare-Bowbells 41-42 #5 Our Redeemer’s

Mikayla Altringer scored the go-ahead layup with 7 seconds remaining and the Knights edged the Honkers 42-41 in a Consolation Semifinal.  Maya Vibeto had 13 to lead the way and Altringer added 11 as the Knights advance to face Central McLean for 5th place Saturday.

Taya Aufforth had 13 for the Honkers, who play Maple River for 7th on Saturday
