BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Congratulations to Ayden McPartland for placing 3rd at state in the North Dakota Poetry Out Loud competition!

The event was held at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck on February 26, 2024. Ayden competed against school champions from across the state, each reciting and interpreting three poems from memory.

Poetry Out Loud is a national program that encourages high school students to read, analyze, memorize, and recite poetry. Valley City High School has been participating for five years.
