MINOT – Jamestown Girls Wrestling finished sixth in the WDA Tournament Friday at the Minot State Dome and advanced seven wrestlers to next week’s state tournament.
The Blue Jays scored 98 points.
112-pound seventh grade wrestler Kaydence Golding had the best finish for the Blue Jays, finishing seconds. Golding, who lost to unbeaten Alicia Kenfack of Legacy in the title match, is 28-4 this season.
Other state qualifiers for Jamestown include Miah Torres (118 pounds), Mackenzie Stoddartt (136), Gabby Romans (148), Aspen Humes (155), Grace Bercier (170) and Hope Miller 190.
The state tournament will begin on Thursday at the FARGODOME.
