THOMPSON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Tommies never trailed as they cruise to the 32 point victory over the Carrington Cardinals 72-40. Thompson is now 3-3 in Class A Region 2 and 6-7 overall, Carrington falls to 0-5 in Class A Region 2 and 1-12 overall.

Senior Drew Overby led Thompson with 18 points, 12 alone in the second quarter and he dropped in two 3-pointers, Karter Peterson added 15 and Gavin Krogstad had 11. Carrington was led by Junior Josh Bickett with 13, including 6-for-6 at the free throw line.

Next up for Carrington will be Saturday at Harvey, for a non-division contest.
