Melroy Wolsky, 88, Valley City, North Dakota, formerly of Oriska, North Dakota died Friday, January 19, 2024 at SMP Health-St. Raphael, Valley City.

Melroy Maynard Wolsky was born on October 7th, 1935 in Nome, ND to Melvin & Ernestine (Ussatis) Wolsky.

As a young man, Melroy worked on his father’s farm and then lived with his mother until her death in 1980. He lived with his sister, Beatrice in Oriska, until her death in 2022. Since that time, he has been a resident at the St. Raphael Care Center in Valley City. The family would like to thank the St. Rahpael staff for the wonderful care he received there.

Melroy loved to work in his flower beds and garden. He was a loyal fan to the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He would never turn down a chance to go fishing. He loved his family and had a strong faith in God, attending church for many years at Zion Lutheran Church in Oriska.

He is survived by a niece, several nephews, as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Beatrice (Robert) Peterson and brothers, Wallace (Dolores) and Wesley (Shirley).

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 11:00 am at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel in Valley City. Visitation will be one hour before that service at the chapel.
