JAMESTOWN – Carter Borg kept making the big saves Friday for Jamestown, then Grant Lunde scored the night’s biggest goal.
Lunde scored on the first shot of overtime after Borg made 43 regulation saves as Jamestown Boys Hockey defeated Minot 3-2 at Wilson Arena.
Set up by Jackson Maddock and Tyson Jorrisen, Lunde scored 1:19 into the extra period for the win for Jamestown (5-7-1-0, 5-6-1-0 WDA).
Borg made 37 saves combined in the second and third periods. However, Minot’s Mackley Morelli scored with 2:49 left in regulation to tie the game at 2-2 and force overtime.
Jorrisen and Jakoby Traut had the other goals for the Blue Jays. Coen Schmeichel also scored for Minot.
Jamestown will host Williston Saturday at Wilson Arena.
