Oakes, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Wrestling season is halfway through and, according to the most recent East Region Wrestling Poll, several wrestlers from the South East area of the state are in top spots.

For Oakes at the 107 lb class Ben Wagner is ranked 6th in the Region, at 121 Mathias Dahlstrom is ranked 5th, at 127 Noah Wood is ranked 8th, at 133  Zane Awender is ranked 3rd, at 139 Case Awender is ranked 6th, at 145 Zade Heier is ranked 5th, at 145 Josh Meehl is ranked 1st, at 172 Tate Thorpe is ranked 6th, and at 189 Carter Ptacek is ranked 7th.

South Border also has multiple top placers with Daniel Schumacher, Shane Nitschke, and Josh Haase all claimed #1 spots in 189, 215, and 285 respectively. The Mustangs also had #2 finishers at 139 with Ryan Vetter, 145 with Carson Glaesman,  152 with Brody Hoffman, and at 172 with Jace Nitschke.

Lisbon had multiple top spots as well with Noah Anderson, Kashden Wadeson, Griffen Greenley, Blaze Reinke, and Mike Nelson claiming #1 at 121, 127, 139, 152, and 172 respectively. They also had Cruz Reinke at 114, Ryan Enge at 133, and Ely Lyons at 160 claim #2 spots.
