(ND Ag Connection) – The North Dakota 4-H Foundation, a cornerstone in youth development, has recently introduced its new leadership team. This team is set to steer the foundation towards greater heights in supporting 4-H youth programs across the state.

Becky Peterson, former marketing and services director at Farm Credit Services of Mandan, is the chair of 4-H, emphasizing its critical role in preparing youth for future challenges. She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for youth leadership, echoing the National 4-H ad’s sentiment.

Jennifer Hauge, hailing from Leith, takes on the role of vice chair of ends development and evaluation. Alana Sears of Wheatland is the new vice chair of policy monitoring, bringing her insights into this crucial area. Vicki Monsen from Watford City steps in as the vice chair of board fundraising and community outreach, a key position for the foundation’s engagement and resource mobilization.

Julie Hassebroek of Cogswell is the appointed vice chair of financial management and treasurer, overseeing the financial health of the foundation. Deb Clarys, from Center, takes the role of past chair, offering her seasoned experience to the new board. Representing the voice of youth, Aidan Sears from Wheatland joins as the 4-H Ambassadors representative.

The foundation, supported by an additional 15 4-H advocates and North Dakota State University Extension staff, continues its mission to fund and foster 4-H programs. These programs are instrumental in honing leadership and communication skills among young people.
