BUXTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals jumped out to an early 18-3 lead at the end of the first quarter and cruise to a 37 point victory over the Burros of Hillsboro/Central Valley Tuesday night, 68-31. The Cardinals pick up the important Region 2 victory and are now 2-2 in Region 2 and 3-3 overall, HCV drops to 0-2 in Region 2 and 2-6 overall.

The Cardinals were led by Madison Johnson with 19 points, Kacie Rexin added 16, including two 3-pointers, and Edyn Hoornaert had 10. HCV was led by Kennedy Olsen with 11.

Next up for Carrington will be Thursday in Rugby for a Class A non-region game, KDAK 1600/100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the game starting about 645pm pregame.
