JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – JAMESTOWN, ND — The Jamestown Police Department is issuing a public notification to Jamestown residents regarding a change in address for a convicted high-risk sex offender within the city.

35-year-old Andrew Lamar Mayes is an African-American male. He is 5’5″ and weighs 250 pounds. He is now listed as homeless in Jamestown. Mayes was convicted of gross sexual imposition in 2016 in Richland County, ND for engaging in sexual contact with a 7-year-old female.

Mayes has been assessed as a high-risk offender by the ND Risk Level Committee.
