STRASBURG, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On the evening of Friday, December 1, a 27-year-old man from Linton suffered severe injuries in a crash that occurred eight miles west of Strasburg.

According to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, around 9:20 p.m., the man was traveling westbound on 89th Street Southeast when he lost control of his vehicle, veering into the north ditch. During the incident, he collided with two box culverts and multiple fence posts.

The man, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck via Airmed for treatment.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has confirmed that alcohol played a role in the crash. However, no further information has been disclosed, and the accident is currently under investigation.
