VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2023 Barnes County Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign kicks off this week in Valley City.

Salvation Army Spokesman Lee Isensee said bell ringers are needed at two locations, Petro Serve USA and Leevers Foods.

He said prospective bell ringers should contact Lenora Ziemba at 840-1357 or Naomi Schlect at 541-1418.

Last year, Isensee found something special inside one of the Red Kettles. He said someone donated a family wedding ring that had been a keepsake for decades. He said the ring received $750 for the Red Kettle Campaign.

Isensee thanked all the businesses and individuals for continuing to give so generously to the Barnes County Red Kettle Campaign. The full interview is below.
