Miss North Dakota Sydney Helgeson visits with children in Valley City

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Sydney Helgeson, Miss North Dakota is preparing for the Miss America pageant.

The recent University of Alabama graduate grew up in Bismarck, her community service initiative focuses on building stronger communities together.

During her visit to Valley City last week, Helgeson said she’s excited about the upcoming Miss America pageant.

Back in September of 2017, another Bismarck native, Cara Mund was the first North Dakotan to be crowned Miss America 2018.
