JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Public School District is looking into a video and a claim that one of its administrators used a racially insensitive term while investigating a student’s racially insensitive social media posts.
The Superintendent, Rob Lech sent this statement to NewsDakota.com…
“The district is aware of a video and allegation that claims a member of our administration directly restated a racially insensitive term in the context of investigating racially insensitive social media posts from a student. We take allegations such as this very seriously and it is under investigation. At this time, a determination has not yet been made. If the allegation is substantiated, it will be addressed appropriately. Regardless of intent, the Jamestown Public School District does not support, and cannot tolerate, the use of any discriminatory language.”
The exact content of the student’s social media posts is unknown.
