VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The first phase of a Valley City reconstruction project along 2nd Ave NE from 2nd St to 5th Street remains closed as the contractor waits for Century Link to complete utility work.

KLJ project manager Chad Petersen was asked by city commissioner Duane Magnuson if the city could charge Century Link for this delay.

City Administrator Gwen Crawford said she and other city officials have asked Century Link to expedite the utility work.

Peterson said weather permitting the reconstruction project is tentatively set to be completed this month.
