Oakes, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The #2 Kindred Vikings spoiled the Oakes Tornadoes Homecoming game winning 21-0 on Friday September 22nd.

The game with Kindred holding the ball for almost the entire first quarter. Marching up the field in a slow methodical drive but unable to find the endzone. The Tornadoes would get the ball with almost 3 minutes remaining in the quarter holding the ball into the 2nd quarter.

The second quarter saw Kindred finally break through with 2:01 left in the half on a 1 yard QB Sneak Jake Starcevic broke through to the endzone. That would be the only scoring in the half.

The third quarter saw the Tornadoes appear to tie the game on a Max Walock 45 yard catch. However the play would be called back due to an illegal man down field. The Vikings would capitalize and double their lead with an 8 yard touchdown run from Sawyer Hesse with 4:01 left in the third to make it 14-0.

On the first play of the fourth quarter the Vikings would score again off of a 41 yard TD Run by Tyson Johnson to give them the 21-0 win.

The Bank North Player of the Game was Max Walock who had a terrific defensive night with 2 interceptions.

The Tornadoes fall to a record on 2-2 inside of Region 1 and need to be perfect for the rest of the season to get a 3rd seed in the post season.
