The Jamestown Blue Jays had a homecoming date with the Wahpeton Huskies tonight at Charlotte and Gordon Hansen Stadium.
Jamestown got started with a 11, play 83 yard touchdown drive finished off by a Tyson Jorrison 1 yard touchdown run to get out to the first lead of the game with 4:13 left in the 1st quarter.
Wahpeton would respond, quarterback Bjorna Kubela firing a pass to running back Treyton Mauch on a crossing route, Pat Missed, 7-6 Jamestown would keep the lead to end the first quarter.
The Blue Jays wouldn’t let up the rest of the way. Running back Kelan Harstad would break off a 18 yard run with 8:45 left in the 2nd quarter to give Jamestown the lead 13-6.
Jamestown would go into the half ahead 34-6. The Blue Jays continued to the pressure in the 2nd half, putting up 13 more points, while allowing none since the 1st quarter.
Jamestown would get the win and continue their winning streak, making themselves 4-1 after losing the first week to Grand Forks Red River. The Blue Jays will be back on the road next week away at Dickinson. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM local time.
