JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – August boardings at the Jamestown Regional Airport were up by 3 percent from last year.
Those numbers according to the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission in a recent report.
Jamestown Regional Airport reported 882 in August, compared with 862 in August of 2022.
So far in 2023, there have been 6,829 boardings at the Jamestown Regional Airport. This is a decrease of 13 percent from last year.
For the state of North Dakota, commercial airline boarding numbers for August 2023 reached 95,416 passengers, which represents a growth of 10,249 boardings or a 12% increase from August 2022. All eight of the commercial service airports also had higher passenger numbers than during this same period last year.
North Dakota’s air travel demand during the summer months has remained strong and the average aircraft load factor for the month of August was estimated at approximately 83%. Flight departures continue to show a high level of reliability with cancellation rates for flights departing from North Dakota at well below 1%.
