JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Tuesday, September 19, the Stutsman County Commission made a unanimous 4-0 decision to appoint Levi Taylor as a new member of the board.

Several other candidates, including Amanda Hastings, Jessica Moser, Benjamin Tompkins, Mathew Woods, Brock Mosolf, Steven Gerszewski, Adam Wieland, Michael Hansen, George Barnes, and Chris Aarhus, applied for the position.

The vacancy arose following the passing of Commissioner Steve Cichos on August 23. He had been reelected to the commission in November 2022.

Levi Taylor’s appointment will remain in effect at least until the next general election.

The next general election cycle is set for 2024.
