VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) Hi-Liner tennis was stopped on their dedication night by Fargo Shanley, with the Deacons working a sweep.
The Hi-Liners were beaten 9-0 by Shanley Tuesday, as new courts greeted the players for both teams.
Miles Taylor had the most competitive match, dropping a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Shanley’s Jack Wolf. Hi-Liner head coach Matt Nielson said it was his best day of the season.
“Matt served fantastic in singles and doubles. He also moved quicker and more precisely to the ball to then attacked it to hit quality shots. In doing so, he pushed Shanley’s #1 who only won by a single break in each set,” said Nielson.
