VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – 2,977 people lost their lives after the World Trade Center towers collapsed in New York City on September 11th, 2001, of those victims, 412 were first responders including 343 firefighters and 60 police officers.
Valley City Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said the annual Red Knights 9-11 tribute ride is Sunday, September 17th.
He said the money raised from the tribute ride goes to families and businesses in the area who lost their property due to a fire.
The ride starts at Noon Sunday from the Valley City Fire Hall. The cost is $15 per rider which includes a nice supper at the Eagles Club after the ride.
