JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JPD) – The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a new high risk sex offender who is residing within the city of Jamestown.
According to the news release Darin John Napier locked a 14-year-old boy in a bathroom and would not let him leave. He threatened to kill the boy and engaged in forced oral sex and attempted anal sex. The police had to force their way into the bathroom and found Napier and the boy naked. Conviction Date: 06/08/2000 in Williams County District Court. Disposition: Count 1: 20 years; 15 years suspended for 5 years; Count 2: 10 years; 8 years suspended; 186 days credit; 5 years supervised probation; consecutive.
Napier is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
