WIMBLEDON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The new Arrowwood Prairie Coop fertilizer plant in Wimbledon is up and running.
The $4 million investment was used to construct an automated 4,000-ton fertilizer plant between the shop and C-store site in Wimbledon, North Dakota.
General Manager Paul Klosterman, said we made this investment with the expectation that volume will double in 2 to 3 years.
Ag Manager David Carlson said in building the plant, we should also help the growers become more profitable – not only with the faster turnaround time to load, but also with the precision blending we can provide.
Ag Sales Manager Royce Carlson said we’ll handle 25,000 tons with fewer man-hours than required for 6,000 tons.
Royce Carlson said thanks to local contractors in the area and in North Dakota are the reason this project was completed in 13 months.
