VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Reconstruction work continues on a small section of the storm sewer system along Main Street in Valley City.
KLJ engineer Chad Petersen said once the work is completed it will increase capacity to the storm sewer system in that area following a heavy rainfall event.
Valley City Administrator Gwen Crawford said the flood wall design in that area of Main Street didn’t allow for a natural flow of water to drain properly into the storm sewer after a heavy rainfall event. So she said, it had to be corrected.
Weather permitting, the project should be completed by September 16th.
