Game 1 LaMoure (5) @ Velva (2)

LaMoure stayed alive with a 5-2 win over Velva as Gunner Theilges spun a gem on the mound going 6.2IP only allowing one run. Coby Theilges would then come in to slam the door for the save as the A’s season will live on for at least one more game.

Offensively Avery Kramer was the one driving the bus with three RBI’s as his base clearing two run, two out double in the fifth inning after Velva turned down a double opportunity twice in the inning. Gunner Theilges and Mason Warcken also drove in runs on the day for LaMoure.

The next game for LaMoure will be today at 5:30pm on KDDR as they’ll be taking on Beulah with the winner moving on to play at 12:30pm Monday.

 

Game 2 Lamoure (12) vs. or Beulah (7)

It was a duel of big innings as Lamoure would pour in nine runs in the bottom of the first inning to take an early 9-1 lead before trading runs with Beulah in the third. In the fifth though Beulah would crank across five runs to make it a 10-7 ballgame. LaMoure would right the ship with two in the bottom half before Colby Theilges slammed the door with 2.2IP of scoreless relief striking out three batters.

LaMoure will play Valley City tomorrow at 12:30pm on Q101 for the right to play Park River in the championship round.
