MCHENRY, N.D. (NDHP) – A Binford man died in a motorcycle crash near McHenry, North Dakota according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP.)

The Highway Patrol said on Wednesday, July 19th at 7:45PM, the Griggs County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a
missing person. It was reported that 56-year-old Brian Sherman Swanson of Binford, ND was last seen in McHenry around 6PM on Monday, July 18th.

On the evening of July 19th around 10:00PM, a Griggs County Deputy was out searching for Brian and located his motorcycle, a Honda Goldwing on the south side of 11th St NE in a slough. At the time of the crash, Brian was driving his motorcycle eastbound on 11th St NE before leaving the roadway into the south ditch. Brian was ejected from the motorcycle landing in the slough on the south side of road. The motorcycle continued and came to rest facing east in the slough. Brian Sherman Swanson was found deceased from injuries he sustained in the crash.
