The Royals season came to an end on Wednesday as they fell 5-0 to the Fargo Astros who rode a complete game shutout by Brady Hecker to the victory. Valley City the first three innings put a run in scoring position but could not come up with the crucial hit to get them on the scoreboard.

Pitching wise for the Royals Bryson Heck gave Valley City five innings of work as he did not allow runs in back to back innings. Unfortunately one of the innings that the Astros scored in was a five run rally that saw multiple hard hit balls elude Royals defenders gloves. It was another impressive relief appearance for Carver Pederson would come in or relief of Heck in the sixth inning and promptly struck out the middle of the Astros order.

Corbyn Powell mustered the lone extra base hit for the Royals on the day with a double in the top of the second inning. Valley City did manage to draw five walks on the day but also struck out seven times as well.
