LISBON, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The second day of the District 7 Legion Baseball Tournament was held on Tuesday July 18th in Lisbon at Sandager Park. The results are below. All LaMoure, Lisbon and Oakes games can be heard on 1220AM, 100.3 Oakes, and 95.9 LaMoure, KDDR The Tornado.
Elimination Game 1: #7 Enderlin 0 – 8 #6 Edgeley
Elimination Game 2: #8 Fairmount 0 – 10 #5 Oakes (6 inn)
Oakes staved off elimination beating Fairmount 10-0 in the second elimination game of the day. The game started well for Oakes scoring 4 runs on 3 hits and 2 errors. They would expand that to 5-0 in the second inning off of a passed ball and wild pitch. Fairmount would be stumped as they would load the bases for a total of 3 times in the game and stranding them all. Oakes would score 1 more run in the 5th inning then finish the game scoring 4 runs in the 6th inning to make it 10-0 and end the game.
The winning pitcher was Brooks Domine who went 6.0 IP with 5 H, 6 BB’s, 6 K’s, and 0 R’s. The losing pitcher was Avery Koschney 3.0 IP with 5 H’s, 3 BB’s, 3 K’s, and 5 R’s (4 ER).
Oakes advances and will play either Lidgerwood/Hankinson or LaMoure tomorrow at 2:00 PM.

Game 3: #3 Lidgerwood/Hankinson 2 – 10 #2 LaMoure
Lidgerwood/Hankinson on multiple occasions had answers for LaMoure early on but as the game wore on LaMoure would slowly take control. L/H would take an early 1-0 lead in the 2nd before LaMoure would score 2-1 in the bottom half to take the lead. L/H would tie the game in the 4th before LaMoure pushed three across in the bottom half to take a 5-2 lead.
Corban Potts would be the player of the game for LaMoure driving in three runs in his last two at-bats. LaMoure would put the game to bed in the bottom of the sixth pushing across five two out runs to seal a 10-2 victory.
L/H will face Oakes in the challenger bracket at 2:00pm tomorrow with LaMoure facing the winner of Wahpeton and Lisbon at 7:00pm.

Game 4: #4 Wahpeton 0 – 10 #1 Lisbon F/6
After a slow start with the bats Lisbon would dominate the middle and late stages of the game offensively pushing across three runs in the 3rd, one in the 4th, four in the 5th, and capped it off with a walk-off two out two run RBI in the sixth. A surprising amount of damage was done by the bottom of the order which punched in five of the ten runs from the 7,8,9 spots in the lineup.
Wahpeton will play Edgley in the challengers bracket tomorrow at 11:30am while Lisbon will face LaMoure at 7:00pm.
