WEST FARGO, N.D. (Bonanzaville) – The Cass County Historical Society -Bonanzaville USA was awarded a $3,000 grant for the revitalization of the 1930’s Northern Pacific Pullman railway passenger coach on its grounds. The Northern Pacific Railway was a transcontinental railroad that operated across the northern tier of the western United States, from Minnesota to the Pacific Northwest running through the state of North Dakota, the city of Fargo, and Cass County. This coach car is a part of that history and NPR’s contribution to affordable transportation, settlement in the western united states, instilling national confidence, and bringing the west into the world.

The Cass County North Dakota Historical Society (CCNDHS) is the cultural institution in charge of telling the county’s story, as well as preserving and collecting artifacts connected to the county’s history. CCNDHS owns and operates a museum, event center, and prairie village that sits on twelve acres of land in West Fargo, North Dakota called Bonanzaville. Bonanzaville includes a large main museum, thirty-six historic buildings, a carriage house, a car museum, an air museum, a tractor museum, an agricultural museum, and a law enforcement museum.
