Glenn “Ole” Olufson, age 64, of Valley City, ND, died Friday, June 30th at his residence in Valley City.  A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 29th at Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.  A reception in his honor will be held after the service at the Valley City Eagles Club.  

Glenn Allen “Ole” Olufson, the son of Leonard and Rosalie (Russell) Olufson, was born November 6, 1958 in Valley City, ND.  Glenn grew up and attended school in Valley City.  As a young man, Glenn worked as a caretaker and grounds maintenance worker at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  He also worked at Valley Lumber Company from 1979 until 2010 when he retired due to health problems.  Glenn enjoyed working outside and was a BIG sports fan.  He loved to watch his favorite baseball team, the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings.  Glenn enjoyed spending time with his nephew Matt (Shelby) Basner and his great-nice Maddison Mae Basner.

Glenn is survived by his two brothers, Steve Olufson, Wibaux, MT and Dusty (Karen) Stevens, Minot, ND; one sister, Sally (Dan) Basner, Valley City, ND; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Rosalie Olufson and girlfriend Carole Laney.
