JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Detroit Lakes Post 15 scored three runs in the top of the first and that’s all they would need as they roll past Carrington 9-1 in the consolation round of the Phil Brown Classic. Carrington Post 25 is now 5-5 overall, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota improves to 11-10 overall.

Logan Adams picks up the victory, working five innings, no runs, six strikeouts. Lucas Hendrickson took the loss. At the Plate for DL, Josh Goodspeed had three singles, an RBI and scored once. Post 25 got their only run of the game in the bottom of the seventh, when Kael Kovar hit a RBI double to the gap scoring Josh Bickett. There was a 23 minute rain delay as well during the game.

Carrington will take on Mayville for seventh place on Sunday at 11am. Detroit Lakes will meet the Dickinson Roughriders for the consolation championship on Sunday at 1pm.
