VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Good news about garbage cans & racks. You can call 845-1700 to have your garbage can and/or racks picked up by the City at no charge or you can bring them out to the Transfer Station at no charge.
Please “hang with me a bit” on this one. We haul our garbage and pay for putting it in Fargo’s landfill. The tough part of that is the landfill is filling rapidly and when full, we will be further challenged. Recycling everything eligible is the best, but if we would all just recycle our cardboard, it would reduce our tonnage hauled to the landfill considerably. Please give cardboard recycling a try; thank you.
Kudos to all the folks who provide great services at the Barnes County Municipal Airport. They recently received a grant for snow removal equipment to keep runways open and safe. With the new fuel system installed, both Jet A and 100LL fuels are available. Hangar space has been increased as well keeping planes clean and out of the elements. Ground services are also available for customers. For further information, see http://www.barnescountyairport.com/or call Mike at 701-840-5903. Thank you to the VCHS Dance Team for a fantastic job serving 273 people pancakes to kick off Rally in the Valley.
We have mentioned “shopping local” and today I had a pleasant local healthcare experience when I needed a cortisone injection. My injection was “painless,” saved about two and a half hours and sixty cents a round trip mile being I didn’t have to drive anywhere. Between our hospital, clinics and City County Health, many quality services are offered locally. Before you assume you have to travel for healthcare, check locally first.
