VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The granddaughter of Peggy Lee, Holly Foster Wells was filled with emotion during the dedication of the mural of her grandmother on the north wall of the historic Rudolph Hotel in Valley City on Friday, June 16th.

The hotel was the former home of KOVC Radio, credited with kick starting the career of Peggy Lee who went on to become an internationally recognized female recording artist. Peggy Lee passed away in 2002.

The mural was created by artist Bill Cochran of Bridgetown Imprints. Sponsors include: Bank Forward of Valley City, George Gaukler, Dacotah Bank of Valley City, i3G Media, Midland Continental Depot Transportation Museum, Lions Club of Valley City, Concept Dentistry – Dr. Brian Bulik, and BEK Communications.
