JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – The past presidents of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce partner with the University of Jamestown and Jamestown Regional Medical Center to provide scholarships to incoming University of Jamestown students.

The Chamber, along with their partners, were able to provide two $1,000 scholarships this year. One is a general scholarship and the other is for a student interested in a medical profession. Every year, the Chamber Ambassador
Committee raises money for the scholarship fund.

The 2023 scholarship recipients are Haylie Hakanson and Preston Gall of Jamestown High School. These outstanding students will be attending UJ in the fall.

Hakanson is interested in Kinesiology and hopes to start a career as a physical therapist. Gall is pursuing a degree in Physical Education and hopes to start a career in education.

Congratulations to these students and we wish you the best of luck in your future careers.

For more information on these scholarships or to donate to the scholarship fund, contact Emily Bivens by emailing: director@jamestownchamber.com or call the chamber at 701-252-4830.
