DICKINSON, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School softball team fell to Dickinson 2-1 in the West Region semifinals on Friday night at Bravera Field.

All three runs scored in the game came during the third inning. Dickinson recorded both runs with two outs as Ava Jahner and Kyndall Peterson drove in runs for the Midgets. Rylee Joseph drove in the lone run for Jamestown, bringing home Leah Trumbauer with a sacrifice fly.

Jahner, Katie Falk, and Makenna Nold battled in the circle during the semifinals, combining for one of the best-pitched games across the state all season. Jahner struck out nine batters over seven innings to get the win. Falk was handed the loss, going three innings and giving up two runs. Nold tossed four innings in relief, striking out seven Dickinson batters.

At the plate, Trumbauer went 1-for-1 with two walks and a run scored. Ella Falk and K. Falk recorded the only two hits for Jamestown offensively.
