JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The winning streak for the Jamestown High School softball team increased to 13 in a row on Thursday night following a doubleheader sweep against Williston.

GAME ONE: JAMESTOWN 11, WILLISTON 1 (FIVE INNINGS)

The Blue Jay offense scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to earn a mercy rule victory in the opener. Katie Falk drove in the game-ending RBIs after pitching a complete game two-hitter in the circle. Falk, who struck out four, allowed her only earned run in the first inning and didn’t allow the Coyotes to get a hit in the final four innings. Rylee Joseph drove in three runs, going 2-for-3 with a sac fly. Falk also had three RBIs and Makenna Nold drove in two. Leah Trumbauer went 2-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored.

GAME TWO: JAMESTOWN 5, WILLISTON 0

Makenna Nold kept Williston batters off-balance for seven innings as the junior pitched a complete game shutout, giving Jamestown its 13th consecutive victory. Nold gave up just two hits, striking out 13 Coyote batters. At the plate, Nold drove in a run and scored once and Avery Graves hit her fifth home run of the year. Jamestown scored five runs off of seven hits, leaving five on without committing an error defensively.
