NAPOLEON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A former Jamestown Priest has had some of his criminal charges dropped.

48-year-old Neil Pfeifer was charged in Logan County last February for having sexual contact with a woman at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Napoleon.

The judge ruled that the prosecution did not meet its burden of probable cause for the case to move forward.

Pfeifer still faces two similar charges in Stutsman County.

At the time of his arrest, he was serving at St. James Basilica in Jamestown. He was placed on administrative leave by the Diocese of Fargo pending the outcome of the investigation.
