CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Charges of burglary and theft are pending against a Fargo man after investigators say the man allegedly burned the rubber off the wire to sell the cooper.
Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin said someone reported a suspicious burn on a farmstead north of Oriska on December 14. Later investigators linked a series of burglaries and theft of wire in Cass County to the same man. No other details are available.
McClaflin said an alert landowner helped break the case by reporting the suspicious fire. Anyone with additional information should call the Barnes County Sheriff’s office at 845-8530.
