VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s hard to believe, but the annual Rally in the Valley celebration in Valley City is less than two months away.

The celebration kicks off June 16th with a Peggy Lee Day concert at VCSU Center for the Arts at 7pm. Just bring a non-perishable food item to the concert, it will be donated to the Barnes County Food Pantry. Granddaughter Holly Foster Wells plans to visit her grandmothers museum in Wimbledon before taking part in the Rally in the Valley celebration on June 17th in Valley City.

One of the many popular events is the Duckin Down the Sheyenne Rubber Duck race. Tickets are available right now only at The ARC Thrift-E-Shop located at 141 2nd St. NE, Valley City

The race will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 3:30pm in City Park. Tickets are $5 per ticket.

Prizes include 500 dollars in Chamber Bucks for the 1st place winner, 2nd is 200 dollars in Chamber Bucks, 3rd is 100 dollars in Chamber Bucks, 4th is 75 dollars in Chamber Buck, 5th is 50 dollars in Chamber Bucks, 6th is 30 dollars in Chamber Bucks, 7th is $25 dollars in Chamber Bucks, and 8th place is 20 dollars in Chamber Buck Certificates. The certificates are as good as cash at participating Valley City Area Chamber businesses.

All proceeds from this event will go to non-profit organizations in our area. Need not be present to win but all winners must present their winning ticket to a Valley City Area Chamber member in order to claim their Chamber Bucks prize after the race.
