CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Twenty children had an opportunity to eat, shop and get their Christmas presents wrapped up for them and their families during the annual Santa Cops & Kids evening on Wednesday, December 14th in Valley City.

Santa Cops & Kids coordinator Valley City Police Sgt. Dana Rustabakke said the event helps less fortunate Barnes County children have a nice Christmas with their families.

Rustabakke thanked everyone in the community who helped make the event special by shopping, wrapping presents or making a monetary donation to the program.

Rustabakke also thanks members from the Valley City, Jamestown & Lisbon Police Departments, Barnes & Ransom County Sheriff’s Departments and the North Dakota Highway Patrol for helping the children shop during the Santa Cops & Kids program.
