On Monday, April 17, 2023 at 7:00pm in Room 024 of Orlady Hall on the campus of the University of Jamestown, the Convocations Committee will host a presentation titled “The Impact of the Yugoslav Civil War and Politics On My Graphic Design”. This is open to the entire community.

Presenting will be Dejan Mraović, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Graphic Design Program at Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC. Professor Mraović grew up in the midst of conflict and war in the former Yugoslavia. His experience during this time has impacted his approach to his graphic design creations as well as other aspects of his life.

He has an extensive portfolio of work and will use many of his images to illustrate the impact of war and politics on his life and work. With the current conflict in the country of Ukraine, this presentation is very timely and relevant.
