CASS COUNTY, N.D. (April 3, 2023) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating two vehicle pursuits from this past weekend.
According to the news release, on 04/01/23 at 12:21am, the West Fargo Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle for driving with no lights on in the 1800 Block of Sheyenne Street. The vehicle fled northbound on Sheyenne Street and west on Main Avenue, at which point West Fargo terminated the pursuit. A deputy with the CCSO observed the same vehicle traveling westbound on Main Avenue, still without lights, at a high rate of speed. Shortly after running a red light in front of Bonanzaville, the vehicle hit the road closed barrier, and entered I-94 traveling westbound. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, leading to a pursuit. The vehicle left I-94 at the Raymond Exchange and headed northbound on 38th Street Southwest. Just prior to reaching County Road 10, the vehicle went into the ditch. The driver, Manni Angel Schulz of Moorhead, and passenger, Rebecca Joy Schulz of Fargo, were arrested and booked into the Cass County Jail.
In the second vehicle pursuit, on 04/02/23 around 12:30am, a deputy with the CCSO attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving with no lights on, near 32nd Avenue South and I-29 in Fargo. The vehicle fled into Moorhead and was eventually stopped by Moorhead Police, near 8th Street South and 30th Avenue South. After a high-risk traffic stop was conducted, the driver, Darrell Ray Boggs was arrested and booked into the Clay County Jail in Moorhead for the probable cause of several Cass County charges.
