VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stan Amundson, long time Midwest Dairy Association promoter has received the Milk Producers Association of North Dakota “Milky Way” Award for his outstanding contribution to the Dairy Industry of North Dakota.

Amundson has worked hard for more than two decades promoting the dairy industry by setting up the Midwest dairy ice cream stand during the North Dakota Winter Show and special events and benefits throughout the region.

Amundson credits KOVC Radio for getting this promotion started twenty years ago. He said it started with a supper in the countryside and after that, the phone rang off the hook with requests to do school events, benefits and birthdays for Midwest Dairy ice cream.

Amundson thanked everyone for their support at these events and the annual North Dakota Winter Show. He said during this year’s show, they added cinnamon to their traditional selection of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream. He said we look forward to seeing you back at the show in the food court next year.
