JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown School Board met on Monday night and approved appointing Jamie Bear to serve out the remainder of the late Roger Haut’s term.
Haut passed away in January from melanoma. He had served on the board since 2012, and had served as board president.
There were two citizens who applied to serve on the school board, but one backed out, leaving only Bear.
A majority was needed to make the appointment of Bear. Bear’s seat will be up for election in June of 2024
