JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Farmers Union Insurance has committed $100,000 towards the baseball field renovation at McElroy Park.

McElroy Park, located in Jamestown, is the home to youth baseball, fast pitch softball, high school and college baseball and softball programs, as well as amateur leagues. Located in the center of the state, McElroy Park is the ideal location for large-scale, high-quality tournaments for convenient access to teams throughout the state. The field renovations will consist of three phases. These phases will provide renovations to the youth complex and Jack Brown Stadium.

“Our mission at Farmers Union Insurance is structured around building stronger communities”, said Mark Anderson, chief executive officer of FUI. “We believe in the ideals of giving back anyway we can. We live in the communities in which we work and play. This project will give additional opportunities for kids and families and will help support our community of Jamestown.”

“Jamestown Parks and Recreation and Jaybal are honored that Farmers Union Insurance has chosen to support the McElroy Park Field Renovation Project. We are grateful to organizations, like Farmers Union Insurance, that prioritize helping to meet needs in the communities they operate in.” Amy Walters, Executive Director, Jamestown Parks and Recreation.
