JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Another blizzard will cause travel headaches for the area on Wednesday into Thursday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for southeast and south central North Dakota starting on Wednesday afternoon and continuing on through most of the day on Thursday.
According to meteorologist Megan Jones with the National Weather Service in Bismarck, most of the James River Valley won’t see additional snow until later on Wednesday.
The National Weather service is predicting the Jamestown area to receive an additional 2 to 3 inches of snow in this system, with higher amounts of 4 to 5 inches in a line from Ashley to Lisbon.
Bitterly cold arctic air has set in over the region as well. Wind chills will be 40 to 45 below zero on Wednesday night into Thursday.
