Game 1: Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier 56 – 23 Medina-Pingree/Buchanan

The Rebels jumped to an early lead and didn’t look back all game. They played stifling defense and their perimeter game was on point to punch their ticket to the semifinals. The Rebels were playing full press early on and forced many turnovers on the Thunder that allowed them to keep control of the ball. Their defense was also stifling preventing  many shots in the paint to force bad angle and off foot shots from range. The Rebels were led in scoring by Kiara Jangula who would earn player of the game. She would score 16 points going 6/10 from the field and 4/6 from three. The Thunder were led in scoring by Allison Thomas who went 3/10 from the field and 1/3 from beyond the arc for 7 points. The Rebels advance to the semifinals the first District 5 team to do so this tournament. MPB wraps up their season at 11-12.

Game 2: Carrington 62 – 45 Napoleon-Gackle/Streeter

This game started rather close before the Cardinals were able to find another gear to take a 15 point lead in the fist half. They would hold onto that lead all game then with out giving up much leeway. They were aggressive on offense outrebounding the Imperials 44-23 on the game. They also out shot the Imperials going 20/56 from the field and the Imperials would go 16/45. The other big difference was free-throw efficiency with Carrington going 18/21 as a team from the charity stripe while the Imperials went 9/21.
